I was born in Elyria, Ohio and grew up in North Ridgeville, Ohio. My parents are Thomas and Marjorie Sigsworth, currently of Oberlin. My father is a retired Chief of the North Ridgeville Police Department. My mother had the equally important job of staying home to help raise the five children. My siblings live throughout Northern Ohio.
My wife, Kathleen, grew up in rural Huron County. I met her at the Sheriff's Office while I was working as a patrol deputy and she was a dispatcher. Her parents are Norbert and Sheila Barman.
Kathleen and I have been married for 23 years. Since our marriage, we have lived in our home on Seminary Road in Milan Township.
We have two great kids--Alexandria ("Lexie"), age 13, and Sam, age 11. Lexie attends Norwalk Catholic School Junior High. She is active in various sports and in the band. Sam also attends Norwalk Catholic School, and is also active in sports and in the band.
Max, our 11 year-old black lab, and Scotch, our cat, complement our family.
